I was told this bag weighed 14 ounces.. I was looking fir a bag like the one I lost or was stolen.
I wanted a light bag because my back is bad. The bag I lost was much, much lighter and it had an insane number of pockets (one zipper and two open pockets inside), long zipper pocket on the front, and a shoulder strap. It also had a useful (made inside more visible) white plastic lining that cracked easily., but no handles, only a shoulder strap.. The bag I bought has two compartments, one for a 13" computer with some padding, the other abut the same size, a medium sized zipper pocket on the front, and a small unattached zippered pouch. Also, two open pockets in the unpadded compartment and one long zipped compartment on the partition. The description in the catalog is very accurate. The old sac wore very well and Imagine this one will as well. The workmanship looks excellent. Alas, for the weight. For what it is, a versatile beg that hold a small laptop, it's excellent, but the old bag empty felt like a large thin handkerchief, and this one even without my MacBook Air would never be my constant companion. If there was a store in NY, I would more likely find what I wanted, if they still make it. My only criticism of it is the clips at the end of the shoulder strap are plastic. I would prefer metal,.I like the green, which is much more discreet than it looks online. And the handle strap is another point for it. So, five stars for what it is, and one star for what I wanted.
This light weight briefcase is the answer to a traveller's prayer. I could fit in my iPad, my LeSportsac purse with contents, my emergency chocolate bar, my tiny jewelry packet, my magazine and travel papers. The strap is an added boon since I could carry it over my should while pulling my suitcase or rest it on the case. Outside pocket for phone access is perfect. Color perfect for winter. Wonderfully thought-out design.
